Málstofan hverfist um bandaríska tónskáldið Pauline Oliveros og arfleifð hennar. Oliveros var frumkvöðull á sviði raftónlistar og hvatamaður djúphlustunar (e. Deep Listening). Á málstofunni Hlustið vel verður sjónum beint að sambandi hlustunar sem tónsmíðaaðferð og hlustunar sem líkömnuð, vistmiðuð iðja í samtímanum. 

Málstofan er haldin á vegum RíT, Rannsóknarstofu í tónlist sem starfrækt er við Listaháskóla Íslands, í samstarfi við Myrka músíkdaga.

A seminar on listening and the legacy of Pauline Oliveros, an American composer, pioneer of electronic music, and developer of the practice known as Deep Listening. “Listen Well” will explore the connection between listening as a compositional method and listening as an embodied, ecocentric practice in the 21st century.

Listen Well is presented by CRiM, Centre for Research in Music, hosted by Iceland University of the Arts, in collaboration with Dark Music Days.
