Mouth Music (2016) - heimsfrumflutningur / world premiere

[h a p t a l] eftir oqko er hljóðræn tilraun sem rannsakar hin táknrænu tengsl milli málmverks og samspilsins sem umbreytir því. Á verkinu hanga 7 málmeiningar sem eru uppspretta alls hljóðs í tónverkinu. Hljóðin eru numin með snertihljóðnemum og meðhöndluð í rauntíma.

Mouth Music (2017) eftir Ríkharð H. Friðriksson er verk fyrir margra hátalara hvelfingu í veggjum og lofti, 29 í þessu tilfelli þar sem hljóð ferðast allt í kringum áheyrendur. Hljóðin koma upphaflega úr munni og þaðan er nafnið dregið (enginn skyldleiki við samnefndan skoskan söngstíl). Upphaflegu hljóðin eru flest mjög hljóðlát en við ferðalagið úr munninum og yfir í miklu víðara og öflugra umhverfi taka þau stakkaskiptum og stækka margfalt. Verkið verður frumflutt á Myrkum músíkdögum.

'[h a p t a l]' by oqko is a sonic essay that studies the symbolic relation between a defined metallic structure and the interaction that morphs it. The structure holds 7 metallic surfaces that function as the sonic source. This is captured via contact microphones and processed in real time. 

'Mouth Music' (2017) by Ríkharður H. Friðriksson is a work for a sphere of loudspeakers on walls and ceiling, 29 in this case, where sound travels all around the audience. The sounds originally come from the mouth, hence the name (nothing to do with the Scottish tradition of the same name). The original sounds are mostly very quiet, but through the tour from the mouth to a much wider and more powerful context, they are transformed into something much larger. The work will premiere at Dark Music Days.
